“Back to school, back to school…to prove to Dad that I’m not a fool!” Yes, summer has flown by and it is time to start marking off the school supply list. Shopping may even begin for new pants, shirts and even those new shoes that everyone thinks they need because they’re “cool.” Although those new kicks will get a lot of looks, you can get back to school in style AND support your school with a school spirit debit card!

As part of our community-focused high school debit card program, Astra Bank recently (and proudly) added two new schools to the mix. Prior to adding the Palco Roosters and Sacred Heart Grade School cards, the program featured eight schools in the communities we serve. We are very excited to be able to add these schools and continue to provide an easy way for anyone who wants to give back to those schools.

BestColleges.com, an independent organization focusing on college planning resources and rankings, recently released their annual rankings of the top online colleges and college programs in the nation for 2017.  Non-profit schools & school programs are ranked using information derived from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Student Awareness Day provides an opportunity for students to get to know the Fort Hays State University (FHSU) Foundation and learn how support from alumni and friends assist them in their academic career.  The Foundation provides a free lunch and an opportunity to win multiple scholarships.  Each year for the past four years, Astra Bank has proudly been a part of this day by providing $2,000 in scholarships.

As part of our community-focused high school debit card program, Astra Bank was proud to recently present USD #426 with a check for $502.77.  This amount represents debit card purchases and transaction funds earned through the School Spirit Debit Card Campaign.  The presentation took place on February 10^th at Courtland Elementary & Junior High Gymnasium.
